Commissioned by an Oklahoma City Councilman, 499 Sheridan was a proof of concept that the block could be developed in such a way as to save a historic bus station while meeting the developers pro forma. The original design called for an office tower and a parking garage that demolished the bus station. The new scheme saves the bus station, the ground floor becoming retail and boutique office,  with the roof serving as the amenity deck for a new 80 unit residential infill to accompany the office tower use.
